Serious infections / Sepsis / Multiple organ failure

We have clear concepts for rapid and targeted therapy of patients with serious infections, sepsis, septic shock, and ultimately multiple organ failure. The aim is immediate and smooth interdisciplinary treatment in accordance with internationally recognised guidelines (early goal-directed therapy and Surviving Sepsis Campaign). The Department of Intensive Care Medicine boasts broad experience in early targeted treatment of organ failure caused by sepsis and has been carrying out research in this field for many years now. Patients are cared for using all the options provided by non-invasive and, if necessary, invasive monitoring.
